It's like a free CD! That's right, you can download these songs for free ... that's right! FREE!!! They're mp3's or wma so they take up a tiny bit of space and you can load them into your iPod, if you want. And who wouldn't want to do that!!

All songs written and composed by Phil Butta.

Vocals, 6 & 12 string guitars, bass, Yamaha U1 piano and
Roland FP5 piano/keyboard, and electronic drums by Phil.

Joe Forte played bass on "The Road"

Big time, real  drums by Scott Walleck.

Recorded on ProTools LE 7.3

THE LAST RIGHTS is:
Phil Butta, Scott Walleck, and Dave Gill.

Just remember that all songs are copyright 2009 Philip Butta and may not be duplicated, copied, distributed, etc. without expressed written permission by Philip Butta.  And if you plagarize ... I have great lawyers.

"YOU'RE ALWAYS WELCOME HERE, MY FRIEND" is for all the lost, abandoned, mistreated, and unloved dogs out there. Please, adopt from a "rescue" organization. See the Friends Indeed page for information.

"GET UP AND GO!" is directed to all the ad agencies who have airline and travel agencies as clients. It's also a really fun, sing-along!

"INVITRO" is a story, or point of view, from inside the womb ... a child not yet born who questions what's going to happen when (s)he's finally born. I was prompted to write this when Joe Bouchard's daughter was pregnant with Bernice ... who, by the way, is very cute.

"IN LOVE WITH YOU" is a tune I wrote for Valentine's Day a few years go and sent to Eva while she was in Mexico with "the girls."

"NO ONE'S PERFECT" and so am I!! A real fun song. A little latino beat going on.

"LOOK AT ME" is a plea to the world to accept (me? you?) for what we are now. There was some interest in this song for a PBS documentary about a guy returning to his hometown after 20 years. That project was put on hold but the song remains the same anyway.

"THICK AND THIN" My brother said "When are you going to write a song about me?" ... well, here it is.

"THE ROAD" is my testament to getting back in the musical saddle after a fairly long absence. The bass on this track is by the mighty JOE FORTE.

"SHE'S GONE" starts with a thunderous drum beat and goes on to tell the story of a guy who wakes up to find his love has left him.

"GOLDEN DREAMS" is really what re-started the music thing in me. When my golden, Katie, passed away four years ago (sigh...) I was moved to write this ... as well as a few others. Eva and I continue to think of her and miss her deeply.

"THE PARTY'S OVER" was written for a friend of mine (I can't tell you who) the day after her birthday dinner at a local mexican restaurant. Think: too much tequila. But it worked out fine.
